Response Metrics

The Survey Funnel: Views → Started → Completed

Revuloop tracks three distinct funnel stages, following the same

conventions used across the survey industry:

  • Views: The number of times your survey page or embed widget was

*displayed* to a visitor. Views are passive: no click or answer is

required, and repeat visits each count. A view is only recorded when

the survey is actually visible (a popup widget that hasn't opened yet

doesn't count). The Views tile shows what percentage of viewers went

on to start.

  • Total Started: The number of people who *actively began* the

survey: they clicked the Start button, answered a question, or

navigated within the survey. Merely loading the page or seeing the

widget does not count as a start, so passive impressions never

inflate your drop-off numbers.

  • Completed: Respondents who submitted the survey. Everyone who

started but never submitted is counted as dropped off.

Completion Rate is always calculated as Completed ÷ Started; views

are intentionally excluded from the denominator, so a widely-shown embed

widget won't make your completion rate look artificially low.

Note: Views tracking was introduced in July 2026. Surveys with no
recorded views yet won't show the Views tile, and older surveys may
show more starts than views.

Group-by personalization tags

Surveys that use merge tags (`{{customer_name}}`, `{{region}}`, etc.) get a *"Group by Personalization Tag"* panel in the analytics dashboard, with per-value response counts and percentages. The CSV export gains one column per declared tag, prefixed `mc_` (e.g. `mc_customer_name`). See the Personalization (Merge Tags) article for the end-to-end flow.
